WHY WAIT UNTIL THE NEW YEAR TO GET BETTER

Taking care of that ache and pain now may be easier than you think!

As the holiday season approaches, most of us are running frantic to wrap up another year of work and finish our Christmas shopping, hopefully in time to actually unwind and enjoy a bit of much needed (and well deserved!) rest and relaxation.

For most of us, the holidays are a time for taking stock in our lives and considering our way forward in the upcoming year and beyond.  Ah yes, the New Year’s Resolution!  I will get fit, get healthy, stop smoking, work less, un-stress, spend more time with family, take a bit of time for myself, give of myself for those less fortunate, etc, etc.  Sound familiar?

A  study published in January 2007 listed people’s top ten resolutions for their upcoming year.  The number one resolution across the board was to get fit and in shape, and/or lose weight.  Not that surprising.  Interestingly though, the second most common resolution was to get healthy, and/or take care of a nagging or persistent injury, pain or health issue.  Considering the order of these top two resolutions, it is funny that most of us would rather look better than feel better!  (Although one might argue that to look better is to feel better!)

It is true that it is generally human nature to put off addressing our health until we hit a point of more severe pain, impairment, or even an outright health crisis!  Even those of us working in health care have a tendency to do this.  (Hypocritical or simply human nature, you decide!)

In particular, our musculo-skeletal health is usually one of the last things we think about until we become burdened with a significant injury, a chronic pain, or an unremitting niggle that effects our ability to work, play, or live a normal (and pain-free) life.  As a general rule, however, the earlier a problem is dealt with, the easier it is to resolve.

Every year, it seems that most of us will in fact sit down and contemplate ways to improve ourselves and our lives, and/or the health and lives of our families and loved ones.  If you find yourself engaged in this familiar activity, remember that Chiropractic care is perfectly suited to help you and those you love.

CHIROPRACTIC is a safe, natural, and effective health care choice for those looking to ease pain, eliminate an injury, or simply improve their general health.  Chiropractic patients are usually surprised and delighted when they discover how easy it is to achieve relief from pain and find a solution to a recent or persistent problem.  The human frame, when healthy and pain-free, provides a crucial key to one’s health and well-being.  Chiropractic treatment is designed by nature to help you get better.

So, if you’ve been putting off attending to a recurrent pain or an injury, rest assured that Chiropractic care can usually help.  This year, when you resolve to take care of that ache or pain, let Chiropractic help you and your family achieve your goals for a happy, healthy and active year in 2008 and beyond.

Unsure if Chiropractic can help you or a loved one?  Generally, it can.  However, your local Chiropractor is happy to answer any queries relevant to your specific problem. Remember that there is no harm in being assessed.  A clear and understandable diagnosis is usually the end result of the consultation and examination process. The choice to proceed with any form of treatment is totally up to you.

For your safety, be sure that any Chiropractor you visit is a certified Member of the Chiropractic Association of Ireland (CAI).
